Bill Barnes: An Artist with an Infectious Spirit
This week we’d like to feature Fine Art Marketplace Artist William Barnes, a man with a truly infectious spirit. Bill is a long-time Digital Arts Studio friend. Each time Bill visits from his home in Monroe, GA. you can rest assured he’ll draw a crowd as he talks about his art, which is his life. One look in those sparkling eyes and you’ll know that the years haven’t dimmed the love of his craft.
“Born in Savannah, GA., Bill lived his first nine years there and his love of the coast was well established. When his family moved to Macon, Ga. Bill received his first “formal” art lessons in after-school sessions taught by the county art teacher. After another family move to Atlanta, Ga. Bill studied drawing and painting at the original High Museum. As a five year boarding student at the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN., his artistic talents were frequently called on. Bill moved to Monroe, GA in 1987 and paints there full-time.”
